To assist you with your writing, to step-up the chances of our being able to employ your post, and to help us get your post ready for publishing on ContainerHouse we have assembled a couple of guidelines and hints for you below.

Briefly, prior to you sending us your submission, please make certain it:

• Carries quality, pragmatic advice presented with ContainerHouse

readers in mind

• is able to be used exclusively at ContainerHouse

• includes all the information—links, link text, and so forth.—you want the published version of your post to include

• infringes no copyright laws

• includes a headline, body text, and your byline.

Exclusivity

Unless previously negotiated, we necessitate that the posts you submit to us are composed exclusively for use by ContainerHouse
. While you are more than welcome to write on the same topic elsewhere, our desire is that posts that appear on ContainerHouse
Do not appear in the same form elsewhere.

Topics

Posts work best on ContainerHouse
that are relevant to my overall topic— eating and staying healthy. Naturally there is a lot of room to move in this overall topic. Anything that helps someone become more health conscience will be helpful for readers.

ContainerHouse
readers love practical tips, health advise and how-tos. Give my readers information that they can apply to their health immediately, and you will be popular here. Even more abstract posts that have something in them that readers can “do” rather than just “know” are good.

Topics in which we are specially interested right now include (but are not limited to):

•  Container Homes

• Cargo Homes ISU

• Shipping Container Home Construction/Building/Blueprints/Plans

• Photos ( just email us any photos and we will decide whether to include them or not )

• Environmental Aspects of Living in Container Home
• Anything Interesting and Informative About “Any and All Environmental/Green Issues !
  

Voice

Some guest posters worry about what voice or style to compose in. In the final analysis this is up to you. We encourage you to bring your own voice to your post.

Formatting and markup

Feel free to submit your content in Word or plain text format. It would be dandy if you could in addition to follow these points in preparing your post for us.

Please do not use bold font in your post’s prose.
Subheadings: wrap any subheadings in your post in <h2> tags, or simply bold them so they stick out.

Links:

if you prefer to mark up a link and link text using HTML, by all means do so. Otherwise, include the URL in brackets within the prose, directly after the text you would wish to use as the link text. Note that we do not publish affiliate links in guest posts.

Please do include everything you would like to have included with your post in your entry. If you would like to include links, paste them in the position where you want them to go. If you would like to use special link text, tell us. Do not take for granted we will know what information you want, and where: tell us distinctly.

A note on links to your own blog…

If it is relevant to the topic you are writing about, you are welcome to link back to your blog within the post. Keep in mind that this relevance is very significant. If we feel your post includes too many links back to your own blog, we may take away or reject them or the post.

A high-quality, helpful post will get people checking into who you are more effectively than will lots of links back to your blog.

Post length

Your post should be as long as you need it to be in order to communicate your content.

We publish posts that change greatly in length. Anything goes— length Is not a constituent, but caliber is. Follow your own style and voice, and decide on a length that sits comfortably with you.

Editing

All posts that appear on ContainerHouse
are edited. We rarely edit them heavily, but we might or may change titles, rework openings or conclusions, and of course, correct grammar and spelling.

Do not be offended by this— we are just trying to make every post we publish as successful as possible. We also know what broadly speaking works well with the ContainerHouse
audience.

At times, we will send a post back to you with advised additions, deletions, or alterations. This broadly speaking suggests we feel the post could be further heightened in ways that go beyond some basic editing.

Our hope is that we get a post that hits the mark with the readership— that is beneficial for you as the author, good for ContainerHouse
readership, and good for the blog as a whole.

Byline

You have worked to give us great content, so let us help you promote YOU!  We want to spotlight you, your blog, or any product or service that you have to offer. This is for the most part done in your byline.

Bylines should be a sentence or two explaining who you are and what you do. Feel free to include up to 2 links in it. A few guests include a link to an RSS feed here, which can win over well. Your byline will appear at the bottom of your post.
