Why do homes in Costa Rica have to be secure?
One big reason: Costa Rica has an enormous home robbery rate.
Now , do not let this discourage you. If and when this happens, it is only when you leave the home vacant.
There is not one single Country that does not have an area with issues about crime. Therefore, it is a good idea to build a home that will keep out any uninvited guests.
Our Company, ContainerHomes.net, specializes and focuses in container home and container house design and construction.
These container homes are made from used shipping containers for security reasons, environmental reasons and the ease of transportation and installation.
Known as ISO steel shipping containers, these are made of heavy gauge, corrugated steel and are close to impossible to break into, unless you are crazy, have an electric saw with a steel bid and electricity, and you plan on making a tons of noise to alert every neighbor for miles.
My point is, if someone is stupid enough to take a piece of machinery to break into your home then they are probably going to get in no matter what happens. However, the odds are high in your favor that no one will be breaking into your steel prefab house.
At our shipping container workshop in Costa Rica, we are constantly and consistently adding new features and designs to the container homes to increase both the security and safety of the home. We also include solid steel safety lock boxes that are welded into the structure of the home. Solid steel doors that open up the entire side of the home made of glass windows and doors, elevating the shipping container home for safety.
